Cedar Hall was built by a member of the Pulliam family in the early 1800’s. Due to Dr. Pulliam’s medical service in caring for many yellow fever victims, he was asked to join the Howard Association whose members provided medical assistance during the yellow fever epidemics of the late 1800’s. This Greek revival cottage is one of the earliest homes left standing. It consists of 4 original rooms, each measuring 12’x12’x12′, plus a central hall. The original unattached kitchen at the back has been joined to the main house, and a wing has been added to each side at the front to provide needed living facilities. Each of its rooms houses a working, wood burning fireplace. A lovely covered porch now surrounds the exterior.
